About the Role
Overview:
The primary function of this position is to provide administrative support for the school Principal in general operation of the weekend school. This position reports to the school Principal.
Responsibilities:
As first point of contact, responds promptly and professionally to in-person, email and telephone inquiries; direct inquiries to appropriate people/staff.
Purchases and maintains office supply inventory; responsible for allocating the expenses and maintaining receipts from staff.
Responds to all email, phone and social media inquiries.
Responsible for maintaining student data and their respective academic levels.
Responsible for tracking all attendance sheets for all classes.
Responsible for tracking school expenditures
Supervision of students during school recess.
Design Organized recess activities.
Responsible for creating schedules for school volunteers and assignment of respective tasks.
Assists the school principal as required with various projects.
Responsible for the collection of all course outlines, assignment and quizzes and maintaining electronic course files.
Assists staff with printing of course materials.
Completes other duties and special projects as assigned by the school principal.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-2 years of administrative/clerical experience is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and support students, staff and parents.
Excellent communication skills (writing, verbal)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced and varied work environment.
Must possess high level of diplomacy and judgment in dealing with daily tasks
Ability to manage multiple priorities and demands with a high level of accuracy and detail
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word suite of programs – word, excel, power point
Proficient in creating excel spreadsheets with various functions.
